Cocoa Brown Gradual tan - Review

Hey all you beauts!!! how are ya all doing?? I have been so so busy with life lately!! All good though so I shall not complain :) However I do apologise for my lack of blogging the past few weeks, sometimes life does just get in the way, but thank you all for sticking with me :D :D

So Firstly while we're talking Cocoa Brown I was just want to congratulate Marissa Carter on the massive success The tanning brand has done in the US since Kylie Jenner shared her photo on Instagram :) The whole country went crazy for it and it sold out in the US !! Absolutely amazing and such a great achievement for the company and especially being an Irish company too, always nice for our little island to get the recognition it so well deserves at times.

Anyhoodles. Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze Gradual Tan..... What can I say?? Only that I am super impressed with it and it is amazing!!!!!!! It goes on just like a moisturiser and you can use your bare hands as it does not stain them :) you can see it go on too which just makes the whole tanning process so much easier as you can see patches you might miss, etc.. It has a lovely smell to it too, which always helps I think :) So the tan comes up after just one layer in less than an hour after you put it on. So I put it on rushing one morning and it literally came up so quick. I was so happy with this as I was honestly expecting it to take a day or 2 before I would see  visible results. It didn't leave my legs with any irritation or prickly heat rash, which I have gotten from previous gradual tans before. AND it comes in the Cocoa Browns infamous pink bottle which is just so eye catching and girly and pretty aaaaand I love it!!! As you can see from the pictures below the tan goes on so evenly and not at all streaky! Also it is such a natural looking tan which is a massive plus for me as I hate oompa loompa tan!!!

Before
After just one application.

So this tan gets a HUGE thumbs up from me!!! It can be purchased in most shops and pharmacies Nationwide including Penneys, for just a little of just  €5.99!!! Such a bargain!!! It can also be purchased from your local Ryan's Pharmacy :)

If you're not following Cocoa Brown Tan already on Facebook, you can check them out here  and they're on Instagram here :)

So thank you all for reading!

Thinking out loud

Hey everyone :) finally the sun has made an appearance :) enjoy it while it lasts :)
So I'm sitting here procrastinating about life and I just wanted to write a kind of follow up post from my depression and anxiety one! Iv been feeling a. Little out of sorts lately and I just feel if I write it down it might help a little bit ! Writing that last post made me feel so many different emotions, it was a little overwhelming but I am so happy I done it because I got such a positive response from people and I got mails from people telling me their stories too which is just fantastic to have people speak out about depression and anxiety! These are real problems that people have to deal with in their every day life including myself!

So where am I at today? So I am now on 15mg lexapro which I told you all about in that last post, i feel like it's working to a certain extent! But just lately im feeling a little bit all over the place! It's quite hard to describe how I'm feeling because that's the problem... I'm feeling kinda numb! Does this sound normal to any of you?  Like kind of hard to recognise certain emotionsc!
Like if I'm at a function I feel so out of place and uncomfortable! As if people are just talking about me  or looking at me ! I know as I write this that they have better things to be doing than looking at me or talking about me but that little negative voice in my head really makes me believe that they are! I get so self conscious and I end up going in to panic mode! I get blurry vision, I start sweating, my stomach goes In to a knot, I can't hear properly and I find it hard to catch my breath! All this happens while everyone around me is enjoying their meal or drinks or whatever it is we are doing! And nobody notices that it's even happening which is crazy!!! Like people often say to me Ya wouldn't think you thought that way you seem so laid back and funny etc, while I don't perceive anything I feel on the outside it's all happening inside me! And I hate it ! I feel self conscious about everything, how my lips move when I talk, how my voice sounds , how I look when I walk, how my hair sits, what my make up is like! My brain never shuts off and not in a good way! In the most negative way! I feel bad if I take a compliment, I know most Irish people do, it's nearly part of our culture at this stage, but I really need to point out a flaw or 10 with every compliment I get! "you look great" someone might say "oh god iv put on like 5lbs and my skins so bad" Id reply with something similar, when all I could say is thank you! Crazy isn't it!!!

I'm not saying I don't feel happy, I do im happy for all the people in my life and eveything I have! I'm extremely grateful! But at times I think it's too good to be true! Like having lucy was the most successful thing I have achieved in my life and she always will be, even if I become the top of my work or college, she will always be my greatest achievement in life! (As well as my other future kids of course) but then the little voice pops up and says "why did u have such a perfect child" "how did you deserve her"  "what did u ever  do to achieve such greatness" and I ask myself those questions on a  Daily basis and in all honestly I cannot answer them! Which is sad because I know deep down there is an answer, maybe I'm just not at that comfortable stage with myself to answer it!
I really think I was an onion in a past life!!!!! There's so many layers to me that I can't even begin to count ha! God love my boyfriend, family and friends for putting up with it! I don't think they know half of it to be honest! I don't think I could lay my soul bare like that on them! It would be too much for them to take in and they might disown me haha!!

Does life really have to be as complicated as we make it out to be!? Like I can't imagine ever leaving the house out of fear that I won't crash the car or some other disaster is going to happen that I made up in my head!! Thank god that hasn't been the case..... Yet.... See there it is!!! It's a living nightmare really isn't it ! Imagine I spend most of my time hoping nothing bad happens when I could just embrace the fact nothing bad is happening ! But yet I don't want to take anything for granted, I don't want to be the one the finger is pointed at if God forbid something did happen! It's bloody madness how the mind works! It's unfair really! I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to negativity! But a part of me is afraid to change that in case it changes something in my life for the worst!! Does what im saying even make sense to anyone? I hope it does lol!

So I hope this post has made sense  to some of you! I am in a far better place than I was this time last year.. So there is a positive out of a bad situation! I guess when you suffer from a mental illness such as depression and anxiety it really does help you to appreciate the good in your life, as in you don't want to lose that good so you cherish it and keep it as safe as you can! Maybe one  day I'll be able to leave the house without fear of dying lol! Or bring lucy to a swimming lesson without thinking tragedy will strike!!! Some day :)

So I'm Gonna leave it there my lovely people !
Please leave you own experiences below or on any of my social media sites linked below :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time

May Favourites :)

Hi all :) How has your weekend been? I spent mine with my little girlie Lucy :) Was lovely spending some quality time together just the two of us :)

So its now June..... seriously guys where is the time going!!! I can't believe I'm doing my May favourites and its even a week late so apologies for that :)

So I have this L'oreal Infallible Primer months but I've only just really used it more lately. It is soooo nice!! When I bought this there was an offer on for two L'oreal products for €18 in Boots so I got this and the Infallible foundation together. It can also be purchased from Ryan's Pharmacy in Edenderry. It is so smooth and makes your make up application so much easier and makes it last all day long too :) It's a great beauty find and one I would highly recommend :)

Next is the Catrice Illuminating Blush, I got this as a prize along with so many other amazing bits too, from a competition I entered over on Bebhinn's page A Judge Less Life. I absolutely love this blusher, its not too pink or shimmery, it's just the perfect colour for my skin tone. This is one is shade 010 I Am Nuts About You... and I really am Nuts about it :D (cheesey or what haha) This can, be purchased at most Catrice stands nattionwide including establishments such as Ryan's Pharmacy, Penneys and can also be got from SimplyFoxy for only €5, it can be purchased HERE:)

I couldn't be without this Real Techniques buffing Make up brush!!! Seriously girls it is the must need brush for blending foundation, highlight and contour! I absolutely love it! I have this nearly a year and its not one bit out of shape and I've washed it a million times!! I got this one in Boots a while back and it was €28.99 as part of the Core Collection set, but just recently I found it for a bargain price of just €19.42 on the  SimplyFoxy website. Absolute bargain for this set. I use every brush from it without fail :)  This is a must need for every girls make up bag :D

Next up is one of my al time faves!!!! It is the one and only MeMeMe Beat The Blues Highlighter:) This is to me an exact dupe of the Benefit High Beam, the only difference to me is the price. You can purchase this amazing highlighter for just €6.99!! Absolute bargain!!! It leaves your skin with a beautiful glow. I swear by this. it lasts absolute ages too. I love how the MeMeMe products look so vintage and their packaging and products are always so on point :)  This can be purchased in the Medical Hall in Edenderry or click HERE to find your nearest MeMeMe stockist :)

And last but not least I am getting such good use out of my AYU Concealer and Contour palette!! I use this palette mostly for night-time wear as it is a cream high light and contour and I always feel more done up when I use it going out!! ( I know... I'm a weird one) I got this little palette at the Beauty Show and it's still going strong. I think I only paid like €12 for it... or it could have been 15 I can't really remember. whatever it was anyway it was worth every cent. It comes with 15 shades 3 of which are a white one (for highlighting) a pink one (for dark circles) and a green one (for redness). Then the rest are different shades of highlight and contour. When you highlight you should pick a shade 2 shades lighter than your foundation and for contouring go for a shade 2 shades darker than your foundation. This palette is perfect as it has such a wide variety which is great if your wearing darker make up (with tan etc). This palette can be purchased HERE

Please do let me know if you use any of the above products and if you do feel free to tell me what you think of them below or on any of my social ,media sites linked below :)  :)

Penneys Haul- Take a look what's inside :)

Hi everyone :) hope you're all are having a lovely Friday and have a fab weekend too :)
So I met up with my lovely bestie and co blogger Bev yesterday in Athlone, we went for a  hot chocolate (bev had an iced coffee) in Costa and had a great little natter before heading to Penneys where we laid our soul bare haha! I love the feeling I get when I'm going in to Penneys, it's literally like what a child is like when they see the playground, Penneys is  every girls playground :P

Homewares

So I'm just going to dive right in there and tell you what I got! So starting off I made my way to the Home-wares section where I wanted to pick up a few bits for mine and Lucy's room as we have again swapped rooms !! So I spotted this 3 canvas picture with the saying Live Laugh Love written on it in such pretty colours I just couldn't resist, and it was only like €5!!!!  Bargain!!

Next I couldn't resist these lovely little pieces with nice positive quotes written on them too. The heart shaped one saying "Dream Big was only €1.50 and the black one was only €3!! again more bargains! And such nice little touches for a bedroom :)

So I want Lucy's room to be as cute and as girlie as possible :P So I spotted this gorgeous little pink princess cushion, however Bev insisted on buying it for her little pal Lucy! So thank you so much Bev! Lucy loves it and it goes perfect in her princess room :) it was only €5 too and it has a little TuTu on it... adorable!!!!

So I finally got myself one of the coffee/tea cups! I had to go for the one with the butterflies on it as most of my people will know I am obsessed with butterflies! They're just so girlie and pretty and I loved how this cup looked! So seen as I am on the road alot lately I thought this would be ideal to have my coffee in! Its's very secure and it even has a silicone heat protector around it so you don't burn your hands. This was only €3 :)

Beauty

So as most of us girls know the Make up in Penneys is so cheap and cheerful!! and I seen during the week on From Matte to Metallic's snap chap that they found foundation sticks for just €3 and they recommended using them for cream highlight and contour!! So that is exactly why I bought them!!! I can't wait to try these out and review them for ye :) And apparently they're a dupe for the Smash-box contour sticks!! how amazing!! I also came across these new face masks that I hadn't seen before, one is a softening brightening creamy mask, then a Vitalising & Nourishing Skin Recovery Mask, these were both only €1 and then some Nose Pore Strips with Aloe Vera for only €1.50, So I am really looking forward to using these and letting you know how they go :) And last but not least in the beauty section I couldn't resist these nails for only €1.50 each, Pretty purple and the the pretty green and pink design nails!! Such bargains!!!

Accessories

So the accessories in Penneys has been impressing me so much lately!!! Especially their festival bits!! I wish I was going to a festival so I could buy it all!
So I am loving the layered necklaces they are doing and they are so so cheap and are just fab! this one I got I thought was very cute and quite dainty and it was only €3!!

The Sunnies!! I love these sunglasses I dunno why but every time I go in to Penneys I have to buy a pair!!! they're only €3 and I always leave the house without sunglasses so now I  have a pair in my car, one in my room and one in the kitchen.... ya know.. just in case I forget them haha!! Not many sunglasses suit me but these just fit so right on my face and I love the design on the side, they remind me of River Island sunglasses!

Next I got these cute little green earrings for only €1.50, I thought they would go nice with the green and pink nails :P all about colour co-ordination :P

Next I got This cute little head piece,

I actually got one a while ago but it broke because I let a heavy bag fall on it but I liked it that much I just had to get another one and it was only €3, It funks up any outfit or hair do :)

Hair clamps, Now that my hair is shorter I find it so hard to do things with my hair that I could have done when it was longer so I picked up a 2 pack for just €1.50 so I can finally try do something with my hair other than the usual pony tail or bun :P And last but not least in Accessories I had to get the ear cuff!!! I just love ear cuffs and have seen some really nice ones around! This one was only €3!! love it!!

Clothes

So Obviously I couldn;'t go to Penneys and not get some clothes! I didn't over do it on the clothes this time round as I'm at that stage again where I am on a mission to lose weight so I refuse to buy clothes in a bigger size because then I'll just never lose the weight  :P So I picked up these 2 little tops I thought would be nice with denim shorts, jeans or comfy trousers, the white one was only €5 and the navy stripy one was only €6. I really liked them and I think they're something you could dress up or down :)  They have them in lots of different colours and designs too :)

I was soooo happy with this bargain find!! So I went to the sale rail not expecting to  find much as most of the sale stock is gone now but I came across this gorgeous pastel green denim jacket for only €5, needless to say I whipped it up!! It's only a size 8, it fits but not as nicely as I want it to so it's my little motivation to get in to it comfortably :P

And last but not least on my Penneys haul, I really did save the best for last on this one!!! How adorable is this little Minnie Mouse denim playsuit for Lucy??? I seen it and just could not resist!!! I could just see her running around in it with her bouncy curly red hair and I fell in love with it instantly!! it was €14 which I thought was quite expensive especially since she'll only wear it for a short time but I thought , feck it she deserves it :)

So there you have it, that's  my Penneys haul! All these items were purchased in the Golden Island Shopping centre in Athlone :) Hope you all seen something you might like or got some inspiration from :) If ye have any of the above items please share in the comments below or on any of my social media links below :D

Thank you all for reading
