MeMeMe Cosmetics- a few of my favourite bits :)

www.mememecosmetics.com/

Hello everyone :)

So I have been bursting to do a blog post on the MeMeMe cosmetics! As most of ye all know I LOVE this makeup brand so much!!!! Their makeup is amazing quality, affordable prices and so nicely presented. When I first saw MeMeMe about a year ago my first thoughts was WOW this is gonna be so expensive, it has a vintage classic look to the presentation and I was super happy when I realised that it was so affordable and not in the least bit expensive at all!!! So read on to see which products I am currently in love with! I will do 3 at a time so its not too much information all at once :) x

So first up we have the Flawless cream foundation. This is one of the best foundations I have ever used. It spreads like  a dream and leaves your skin with a flawless finish. It really lives up to its name. I got this in Honey Lush 03 but you can get this foundation in the following tones:

  1. Beige Blush
  2. Golden Glow
  3. Honey Lush
  4. Porcelain Pure
I tend to wear the honey lush when I have some tan on as it is a bit dark but suits my skin perfectly with tan. I have quite dry skin and I find this foundation great for my skin type as its so spreadable and doesn't clump or flake! it's perfect. It's only 15.99 an absolute bargain for this product!!! :) This foundation also has SPF 15 so it protects your skin :) it gives medium-full coverage and lasts all day. When I wear this I never have to top it up which is a Godsend because I hate having to top up my makeup throughout the day "ain't nobody got time for that" !! :P It is enriched with antioxidants and micro-sphere for an even and smooth application!

The different shades of the flawless cream foundation

Next up is the Flawless Loose Powder. This is a translucent loose powder and I LOVE this!! It is perfect for dry skin or all skin types really. it is so light but gives amazing coverage and is great for using over shiny areas. I like to apply this after I have done my all my contouring and highlighting, I use the loose powder in the areas I would highlight so above my brows, under my eyes, cheek bones, centre of the nose and chin. You are then left with a flawless matte finish. You can also use this in between lip applications for long lasting colour.

Next is the Boho cheek and lip tint!! I swear by this! It literally comes everywhere with me. It fits perfectly in the smallest of handbags so you can touch up your cheeks and lips on the go :) They come with two bendable shades and they add instant glow to your complexion. You can get this in Coral Taupe and Pink Rouge. I currently have the coral taupe and I think it is fab!!! :) I like to put a bit on my middle and ring finger and literally just tap it on to my cheek bones and blend! It's so easy to use.  They are enriched with Jojoba oil to moisturize the lips and the skin. I have tried so many different cream blushers and they never worked for me but this one is so good, it blends perfectly with your natural tones and doesn't streak or blotch on your skin. It keeps your lips feeling nice and hydrated throughout the day too. This is only 8.50 and it lasts soooo long!!! You definitely need this one for the handbag girls :)

So there are 3 of my favourite items at the moment! I will have more to follow during the week so keep an eye out :) To find your nearest MeMeMe stockist click the link below :)

Review- Garnier Micellar cleansing water

Hello again all! Hope you all had a fab weekend :)

So I am doing a review on this Garnier Micellar cleansing water! I picked this up in my local Ryan's pharmacy for the first time a few months ago and I am hooked!!! It has become part of my daily/nightly facial cleansing regime and I just could not be without it. I use this to take off my make up and your skin feels so refreshed after. I use it in the morning time too before I apply my moisturizer/primer/makeup. It comes in a 400 ml bottle and it lasts ages!!! You don't need to use a whole lot for it to work and that is another reason I love this product!!

So basically all this Garnier cleanser is, is cleansing water, its just like washing your face in normal water but there is a cleanser in it which removes make up and impurities with ease. It doesn't leave any oil or grease on your skin ad you can simply pat dry with a towel after use, there is no need for rinsing this product off. It makes taking off your make up effortless. Especially on nights where you may be feeling  a bit lazy all you gotta do is put some Garnier cleanser on to a cotton pad and wipe over face. It even removes eye make up so i like to soak a cotton pad with the cleanser and leave on my eyes for 10-20 seconds and it wipes off the eye make up so easily. Its a nice gentle product that can be used on the eyes and lips too. I think this cleanser is so good for sensitive skin as it is very easy on the skin, so if you have sensitive skin I would definitely recommend this.

I also like to use this cleanser for a quick clean on my make up brushes in between using them. It removes visible dirt from the brushes and quick dries so you can still to continue to use them.

amazing results
You can purchase this Garnier Micellar cleanser from your local Ryan's Pharmacy, they have a wide range of Garnier facial cleansers, moisturizers and more, which are on sale at the moment too :)  See pictures below of some of the Garnier products on display, that you can purchase. Garnier Micellar cleansing water is only 4.99 at the moment in Ryan's Pharmacy. What a bargain!! So ladies get down to your local Ryan's and check out what cosmetics, cleansers, moisturizers and more in store, if you're having any trouble finding anything do not hesitate to ask the very friendly staff they are only more than happy to help with any queries you may have :)

w7 Eye Palettes- Review

Hey everybody! How are ye all doing? good I hope! :)

This next post is a review on the w7 eye-shadow palettes!! As most of you probably already know I am a huge fan of w7 (must be a 7 thing :P ) and I have been for quite some time, my first product I had bought from this brand was a primer, and it was unreal!! I actually seen From Matte to Metallic girls share it earlier today and I agree with them it is fab! very like the Smash Box primer! But anyway completely going off track there. So the w7 palettes are in my eyes and some others a dupe for the well known Naked palettes. Now as I am completely honest in all my posts I have never tried the Naked palettes as I just couldn't bring myself to spend so much money on eyeshadow! Don't get me wrong if somebody handed me 46 euro and told me to buy it I would and I have spent long periods of time oogling over them and hoping and wishing for one but something just holds me back every time!!! So at Christmas my boyfriend got me 2 of the w7 palettes one was In The Nude and In the Buff; lightly toasted! He got them in my local Ryan's Pharmacy in Rhode. They are unreal!!! I then bought the In the Night palette off eBay for a tenner and just the other day while I was collecting my lovely Cocoa Brown tan prize from Mangan's Pharmacy in Newbridge I finally completed my set by buying the In The Buff palette for a steal of only 7.95.

So I'm just going to go through each palette with you, I'll try my best to keep it as short and sweet as possible just to give you a good idea of how I find the palettes and different looks you can carry out with each palette.

In The Nude

So this In the Nude palette, it comes with 12 different shades starting from lightest to darkest. it comes in a tin with no mirror but it does have an eyeshadow applicator. There is a mixture of shimmery and matte shadows
Now remember girlies these palettes at their dearest are only 9.99 so we're not expecting them to be the most pigmented or best quality, however I will say this, they last all day/night long they are very nice colours and I find myself nearly using every colour at some stage. You may need to put a little more product on the brush more than you would the Naked palette but its not a big deal. they do what they're supposed to do and that's to create nice soft smokey eyes or just natural eyes for day time. I use this one ALOT during the days as the colours really suit me and I love my browns and pinks so this one is perfect for creating the soft smokey eye. The palette lasts ages too, which is great. So this particular palette is a dupe of the Naked 3 palette :)

In The Buff- Lightly Toasted

Here we have the In The Buff- Lightly toasted. As you can see from the pictures this one is a little more of night time look with darker shades. I love this one for creating a bold smokey eye. The dark golds and greys and browns in this palette are very well pigmented and they create a beautiful smokey eye for a night time look. I have no pictures of my eyes done in this one yet but when I do do one I will be sure to post pictures for you all to see. So again you get 12 eyeshadows some shimmery some matte and it come sin a tin. on the back of each tin there also comes with a name of each shadow. At most this palette will cost you 9.99. And I believe this palette is a dupe of the Naked 1 Palette

In The Night

Next we have  the In The Night palette. This is one my all time faves!!!I love the colour purple and I just think this palette is so fun and different to any other eyeshadow palette i own. You can be a  little adventurous with this one and create all kinds of beautiful purple and pink smokey eyes. I have used this one a few times and I was really pleased with how my eye make up turned out. Its pigmented perfectly so you don't over use any product. So again you have a mixture of shimmery and mate colours. the lightest at the start going down to the darkest shades. and in the middle on this one you have 3 beautiful purple colors and a lovely shimmery pink. Lots of looks can be created with this palette and I cannot wait to use it more in the future. you could use this one day time too if you wanted to go for a very girly look but I would think by the name of it it is best used for night time looks :) I got this palette on eBay for just 9.99 but you can purchase it in shops/pharmacies nationwide.

In The Buff

So last but not least is the newest and final addition to the w7 palette family and it is In The Buff. I am loving this palette at the moment, it has the perfect nude colours an shades and then has the dark shades for again creating that smokey eye we all love so much. this one has s ome beautiful golden tones and a nice grey/green colour too which would be beautiful on any colour eye. That's the best thing with these palettes it doesn't matter what colour eye you have you will find a look from each palette to suit you. So the In The Buff palette is a dupe fot the Naked Palette 2.

Naked vs w7
You really cannot go wrong with these eyeshadow palettes they're fantastic and such good prices too. you can purchase w7 cosmetics in selected pharmacies , nationwide. I know Cara Pharmacies stock thir products and also Mangan's Pharmacy in Newbridge also/Ryan's pharmacy in Edenderry and Rhode too. They can also be bought online too. They are normally only 9.99 but are on special offer at the moment for only 7.95 in Mangan's pharmacy, Newbridge.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you all for reading.
Lots of love

The Church Restaurant Mullingar

Hello my lovelies! Hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Weekend :D

So this next post is about one of most favourite places to eat!! The Church restaurant situated centrally in Mullingar town across from the Harbor Place shopping centre just off the main street. So this actually used to be  a Presbyterian church and it was converted in to a restaurant. Such an unusual thing to do but works absolutely brilliantly :) On the wall outside the Church entrance grounds is a menu so you can get a  feel of what is on offer before you enter, then as you walk through the grounds it really feels like you're walking to church only to enter a beautiful modern open plan restaurant. There are two floors, so there is plenty of space and it is not over crowded with tables and chairs etc. The staff couldn't be more helpful from the minute you walk in, myself and my better half are always struggling with the buggy so its great to have some extra help trying to get through a door lol. They bring to you seat straight away and its always one to suit as in with the buggy they ensure we have a big enough table for space, here you also presented with your menus to suit the time of day, we're normally in for around lunch time so we always have the lunch time menu and it is to die for. The staff are so friendly and chatty especially the owner Pat, he couldn't do enough for you. There is low music in the background and the staff all work well together which creates a nice relaxed atmosphere.

100%beef burger side-salad and chips
Brie in batter with cranberry sauce
If you fancy taking the weight off your feet from shopping or want to meet a friend for a coffee this is the perfect place as they have a wide range of coffees and teas to choose from. There is also a beautiful display of cakes, scones, cupcakes, croissants and more along the counter top. They do everything from pancakes for breakfast to a nice roast for dinner. They have so much on the menu including starters, mains and deserts. They do breakfast, lunch, evening meals and desserts. Their food is unbelievably nice and such good quality. My personal faves is the Brie with cranberry sauce and the homemade burger served with fries and side-salad. It is by far the best burger I have ever had and I'm not one for even normally ordering a burger off a menu but this is so good!!! Anthony normally gets the Caesar salad for starters and then the steak for main and it is delicious too. The food is so well presented and there is just enough to fill you nicely. The desserts..... My most favourite part they do everything from plain vanilla ice-cream to cheesecake to death by chocolate cake with ice-cream. They are absolutely delicious. I have had the death by chocolate and oh.my.god it is unreal!!! The chocolate cake is heated and then the ice-cream on the side... to die for! hence the name!!
Death by chocolate !!! mmm
I ordered vanilla ice-cream and chocolate sauce once when i was there and this was what i got! Needless to say my eyes lit up when i saw it coming lol. It was so nicely presented with strawberries, cream and a piece chocolate on top too. It was so good!! They also cater for kiddies too, they have a kiddies menu and they are so good at keeping them entertained with a colouring picture and crayons. Their children's portions are so generous. Lucy loves the chicken goujons and chips and she eats every last bit every rime. Then of course she looks for ice-cream where they add some smarties to it too. It's like all her Christmases come at once :)

They also have a wine bar so you can choose from a selected range of beers and wines, including white, red and rosé. These are perfect for the evening meals or if you really wanted to treat yourself have one at lunch time :)

So overall i would give this restaurant an easy 10 out of 10, myself and my partner have been here many times and have never left feeling hard done by or disappointed. The prices are so affordable. So if you';re ever stuck fro places to eat around Mullingar keep the Church restaurant in mind and drop in for a bite to eat or just a coffee and a scone :) Oh and i forgot to mention now that the weather is getting somewhat warmer they also have a seating area outside in the beautiful grounds as pictured below. so you can enjoy your coffee or wine in the beautiful sunshine when it does make a rare appearance.

MAC Studio Fix vs L'oreal True Match

Hi everyone.

Thank you for stropping by!! So this next post is one that i got very excited about! Most people who know me will know how much I love my MAC studio Fix and have never been able to find anything quite like it for its coverage and long last wear. It is possibly the best foundation I have ever bought. So I had done some research the last few days to see if there was any such thing as a  MAC studio fix dupe and a few websites brought me to the L'Oreal true match foundation. I have never tried this foundation nor had i ever really intended to do so as I never really bought much stuff from L'Oreal!! So I decided to go out and get the True Match and see for myself if it was true or not!! I was super happy with the results!!! I tried to take the pictures in the best lighting I could get so apologies for the pictures but do know that they both are so similar and I will post better pictures when the light is better :)  I applied the MAC studio fix first which can be seen in the first and middle picture below.

L'Oreal True Match

I then took off that make up and applied the True Match. I always find with Mac studio fix you need to ensure your face is so well moisturized if you have dry skin as the foundation itself is quite thick and dry and doesn't spread as well if your skin is not well primed and moisturized. However with the True Match the first thing I noticed was how well it spread it was more liquidy/runny and was great for my skin type. The true match is probably a shade lighter than the Mac one but that is my fault I don't think I matched the shades up as well as I should have, but I have noticed how the True Match one actually suits my skin tone better and if I am to buy MAC again I will need to go a shade or 2 lighter again. But I think I'm going to stick with True Match for now. The coverage is so good, medium to full. It just sits so lightly on your face you wouldn't even know you were wearing make-up. There's no smell off the True Match either whereas there is a strong smell from the MAC I personally don't mind the smell but I know a few people who do not like it. Overall I am so happy with the L'Oreal True Match!!! I do still have a soft spot for the MAC studio fix too though!!

The MAC foundation is 30 euro and you have to buy the pump for an extra 5 euro so altogether that's 35 Euro and it can be bought at Brown Thomas, BT2 or online, So the L'Oreal foundation is only 14.99 it comes with a pump and it can be bought at any L'Oreal stand nationwide in pharmacies, supermarkets, online etc. I bought this one at Ryan's Pharmacy in Edenderry. They have a wide range of L'Oreal items to choose from.

So I am very happy with this Dupe and I think its amazing the price difference!! You can have the MAC look without all the expense :) hope you all enjoyed this post :)
